Artist statement: Here the young Raven is attempting to get ready to fly and join the big ravens who are doing acrobatics in the wind. This was my first etching I created after building my studio and quiting my job. It is my image of faith that knowing the only way ravens learn how to fly is to jump from the safety of the branch.
